"As a family with adult children we found this property perfect for our needs. It is very cool inside with very effective air conditioning (34 degrees outside) and the fixtures and fittings are well in excess of a normal holiday property. The pool really is only 15-20 yards from the front door and is mostly quiet - often we were the only people there. We found the situation of the house ideal, in that it is generally very quiet, yet is only a 10-15 minute walk from the centre of the site (the walk is a little hilly but is both up and down and short enough not to be problem) . The centre is a little more commercial, with a few restaurants (we found it advisable to book ahead), a wine bar (ideal for a bruschetta and a glass of wine) and a small shop, perfect for a nice walk to pick up the bread in the morning. Another bonus for us is the golf course -we had played it before, but had forgotten how challenging and very enjoyable it is. We found some very nice restaurants nearby - Le Repaire, the creperie in nearby Vernegues (15 mins by car), is a real winner and , of course, head up into the Luberon (Bonnieux, Lacoste) and the views are spectacular. This property has so much going for it (including being only 40 minutes from Marseille airport) it is hard to list everything but one of the real bonuses for us is the hosts themselves. Debby is a real pleasure to deal with, almost like dealing with an old friend rather than a business transaction. So, a massive thumbs up to Debby and Frank and for the "House in Pont Royal" . P.S. already booked again for next year!!" — David R, 13 Sep 2016
Great house - clean and comfortable with shared pool - the accommodation is first class, clean, comfortable a real home from home. Good size bedrooms and a wonderful livingroom/kitchen. Everything you need and more with a private garden which gets the sun all day and pool a few steps away from the front door to cool down. The resort is very quiet in the evening. Make sure you sit in the garden and look up at the stars. There are walks around the resort but a car is needed to go to local villages. The area is picturesque and there are numerous locations, villages and towns to mention. Supermarkets and restaurants are nearby. the owners have a list of recommended places to visit, eat, drink - what else could you ask for in a holiday in France. — Angelina, 24 Aug 2016
A really lovely holiday - very chilled! The house has felt like a real home this week - thank you. We've enjoyed everything from the local towns and markets, cooking local food and reading your lovely books! — The Warneford-Thomsons, 22 Aug 2015
We have all had a wonderful week here in your beautiful home in Provence. Spent most of time in Pont Royal enjoying the pools, v.v. hot here! Rose enjoyed counting the hearts! Hope to come back again in 2016. — Hayes and Scriven Families, 08 Aug 2015
What a luxurious holiday home augmented by sparkling weather. Thanks for making the week so memorable. — The Duncans, 01 Aug 2015
Another lovely holiday. I settled into the house straight away. Great views from the back garden. I loved it here - it was so peaceful. Thank you. — Maeve Moran, 25 Jul 2015
Thank you for providing the loveliest holiday home we could imagine. Every convenience we could require was here and it really was a cosy home from home. The area is beautiful and we really want to come back again to explore the area more fully. It has been a relaxing, special place. Thank you. — The Jenkins Family, 04 Jul 2015
Delightful stay at Pont Royal
We have had such a wonderful time, our only regret is not booking for longer!! Your lovely home has everything we could need, especially for Sarah, but with the addition of fab scenery & sunshine. The shade provided by the beautiful flowers & bushes in the garden meant Sarah could be the outdoor girl she always wants to be. It was also great to haven Karen on hand to answer any questions.

Beautiful house in a great location. Perfectly placed to explore Provence. We spent a few days exploring and one day by the pool enjoying the amazing weather. We'll definitely be back and will recommend to friends. — Dan C, 20 Nov 2014
The approach to the house is breathtaking in every direction. Rugged hills rich with the scent of wild rosemary and thyme, traditional villages with quaint coffee shops and market stalls bursting with unbeatable local flavours, historic ruins and natural wonders all incredibly close to the homely community of Pont Royale.
The house itself oozes with love and care and relaxes the guest immediately. With the much sought after elements of rustic Provençal living housed in an impeccably clean, functional and modern house with local amenities as nearby as the long list of attractions.
With such friendly, kind and accommodating hosts this house cannot be recommended enough, your only conceivable regret will be that you haven't stayed long enough!

Debby and Frank, thank you so much for a fantastic stay in your lovely home. We loved your personal touch, whilst booking and during our stay. Nothing was too much trouble. Thank you for the welcome pack - an unexpected treat! The house was impeccably clean and spacious and the pictures don't actually do the location justice, it is beautiful, serene and relaxing. Fantastic view over the hills from the garden. What a place to chill out. We loved Provence. The towns you recommend in your info book of Lacoste, Lourmarin, Bonnieux and St Remy were all well worth the journey. We has some lovely meals out - Just glad of the driver we had with us, so we could enjoy the local wine and beer :-) Its great to know that your housekeeper Karen is on the end of the phone, although we didn't need her, as everything went smoothly. It was quite possibly the best holiday we have had in years - absolutely loved the area - and will definitely come back. If you'll have us. We really didn't want to leave. — Barry T, 25 Sep 2013
We have enjoyed a perfect week in your lovely home in Provence. The location is ideal and the house has everything you need for an enjoyable family holiday. We would love to come back here again. Thank you so much. — Marjory and John Stewart, 14 Sep 2013
Baby's first foreign holiday. Everything we needed was here. Perfect! Thank you for sharing your beautiful home. — Peter, Mairi & Yvie Logan, 13 Sep 2013
We really loved this place. The house is so lovely. The kids really enjoyed the swimming pool, all the toys in here and the oldest one loved the films he could see in the evening. Superb region! We visited Aix-en-Provence, Baux de Provence, Arles, Avignon, Pont du Gard, Gordes - all gorgeous. But we liked Fontaine de Vacluse the most. We can't say anything negative. We had a very happy holiday. Thanks! — Frederick, Ans and family, 15 Aug 2013
"Debby…thanks for letting us rent your beautiful house in Pont Royal. It offered absolutely everything we needed and Karen had the house looking great for our arrival. Arriving to a 40 degree heat-wave meant that the air conditioning was most welcome as soon as we opened the door. We made good use of both pools, both the one just outside the door and the bigger one which was just a 2 minute walk up the hill. We also made great use of the Wi-Fi during times when we were in the house and really, I can’t think of anything which would have made the house a more welcoming environment to stay in…thanks again Debby and Frank" — John & Trisha Sime, 11 Aug 2013
Just wanted to say thank you for use of your lovely home for what was a wonderful family holiday. The villa is fantastic and we made use of three of the nearby pools plus numerous visits to the big pool complex which was a great day out for the kids. Proximity to the P&V complex was terrific as the kids got to go horse riding, visit the playgrounds and try out the peddalo’s on the lake, all within walking distance. In addition the numerous restaurants within a short walk of the villa made eating out with the kids a pleasure while we could enjoy a glass of wine.
We all agreed that this was probably the best French holiday we have had so far!!!
— David, 22 Jul 2013
This is such a beautiful house with a lovely little garden to sit out in and enjoy the French sunsets with a glass of wine. The house is immaculate- very well looked after and beautifully decorated with loving touches which make it a real home from home! The kitchen is very well equipped and ideal for making the most of the fresh local produce. The location feels very safe and private and would be ideal for families or for a group of friends in need of some time out of the city (as we did!). The owners folder of things to see and do is priceless too- we would never have discovered some of the incredible coffee spots listed in it otherwise! We had a fantastic and very happy holiday here and would without a doubt return again and again!

Thank you ever so much for sharing your lovely holiday home in Pont Royal with us. We absolutely loved every minute of our stay and are ever so sad to have to go back home. Your home is beautifully arranged and has a fantastic setting in Provence. The facilities on the Domain make everything so easy and our kids were never bored once. Thanks again and we're all looking forward to coming back again soon. — Ben, Jen & family, 29 Jun 2013
Delightful, well priced holiday home!
Stayed here with my husband and one of the first things I noticed about this property was how well equiped it was! It was like a home away from home with cookery books dvds and even wi-fi available to use!
The property is located in a secured and enclosed site: meaning that we always felt really safe in an area we obviously didn't know too well!
There is tons for children to do (I plan on bringing mine back in the coming year!) Swimming pool, farms and a playground area!
Local shops are only a short walk away: Croissants and pain du chocolat are never far away!
The owners were very helpful with suggestions of places to visit, and tips only locals would know (i.e. restaurants and local markets!)
We visited a small village called "Fontaine de Vaucluse" which was simply beautiful
I would definitely recommend this to my friends and family, I'm already planning my next trip!

The perfect French getaway!
This beautiful little house was absolutely perfect for our short (but very sweet) visit. I just wish we could have stayed longer! The house is secluded enough to feel private, but without being in the middle of nowhere, with lots of friendly people about. The pool is practically on the doorstep, which is such a treat, especially in the glorious sunshine! The interior is light and bright, but still feels very cosy, with lots of homely touches and decorated beautifully. The place was incredibley clean, and obviously very well looked after. The open plan kitchen/living area works perfectly in the evening for cooking and relaxing, as does the terrace - perfect for evening drinks! The owner provided everything we could think of, from pots and pans, to games and even a DVD collection. There was also loads of great information about the local area, which led us to some really fantastic spots we would not have found otherwise. This property would be brilliant for a family holiday, or a break for two like we did. I have never come away from a holiday feeling so relaxed. I can't wait to book my next stay!

An idyllic French getaway
We really could not have wished for a more homely, perfect getaway! The house is beautifully decorated with so much attention to detail that it really did feel that our every need had been accommodated for. It was a treat to be waking up and eating breakfast in the privacy of our little garden overlooking the most fantastic views. The location is ideal- nestled besides the most charming authentic French villages with very friendly locals. The owner provided a very detailed and thoughtful book of recommendations which led us to some of the most fantastic cafes and boutiques. I would wholeheartedly recommend this to a family or to a group who just want to getaway and relax. Although fresh off the plane, we are already planning our return for next year :)

A little bit of French paradise!
Everything we could have wanted from a holiday – a beautiful setting, close to gorgeous markets, a choice of pools, friendly and helpful staff around Pont Royal… best of all though was the house, which the owners have obviously put a lot of thought into to ensure it feels like a home away from home! We can't wait to get back!

What an amazing time we had at Pont Royal in this villa. A real home away from home. The villa is well equipped with everything you can imagine and with a book and dvd collection to rival Amazon! If you like exploring like we do, the villa is perfectly located for many days out in the surrounding area from the beaches to the Luberon. The owners of the villa have an extensive list of suggested outings and restaurants that they recommend and we worked our way through them and loved them all! Pont Royal itself is fantastic and there is so much to do in the actual resort for the children and for the grown ups. A choice of pools within the resort with the amazing wave pool and super slides at the main resort which our children loved. Then there are activities galore from mini golf, to paintball to horse riding and of course for golf lovers an amazing 18 hole course and a mini course for children / beginners. Lovely bars for drinks on the terrace and a good Italian restaurant. We would highly recommend a holiday in this villa and at Pont Royal.

A delightful week here with superb weather - we loved the house, the garden, the site, the whole set-up. Took your suggestions and visited Aix, Bonnieux, Luberon and Lacoste. Delightful!! Nothing negative to say. Karen was more than helpful. Thank you for letting us share your second home. — Juanita and Derek Kirby, 30 Jun 2012
On the 3rd June 2012 we escaped the rain in the UK and returned to the idyllic surroundings of Pont Royale in Provence.
It was so relaxing to be amongst the beautiful countryside and feel the warmth of the sun. We immediately felt at home entering the bright, clean and airy villa. Being somewhat ‘picky’ in my choice of accommodation, it was lovely to see the villa maintains its high standards of cleanliness and amenities. It is so tastefully decorated with a real feel of ‘Provence’.
There have been additions to the extremely helpful location guide giving great inspiration for places to visit. On such recommendation we took our two children aged 12 and 10 yrs to St Remy to the Van Gogh museum which we all loved. Its quiet serenity really helped us picture Van Gogh at work and understand a little more of him as a man. DVDs of ‘Dr Who’ at the villa with the episode on Van Gogh was a must before we visited and the children came away really inspired!
Our children are older now and so didn’t need the fantastic collection of good condition- mostly new-children’s toys provided at the villa, but there was still plenty for them to do- they loved the new play area in the village and we spent a day at the pools and waterslides- great fun! The local pools specifically for the villa remain well maintained and we had them mostly to ourselves!
We enjoyed eating in, enjoying watching the sun go down- and the moon rise over the mountains whilst eating on the terrace. The local market at the Pont Royal village and neighbouring surpermarches and village shops provided excellent local produce and the array of cookery books at the villa inspired us to try and eat ‘french’!
Thank you for such a lovely week- just what we needed – with all you provide to make the stay so comfortable, we felt so relaxed and didn’t want to leave! We will return soon !

An indulgent stay in what we feel is the nicest and most beautiful part of Provence. Will always remember the Luberon mountains. — Kerry and Rick, 11 Sep 2011
We loved the house, just like a home away from home. Karen was very friendly and helpful and the welcome pack was greatly appreciated. Thanks for everything. — The Hills Family, 10 Aug 2011
Had a brilliant holiday! Loved Le Repaire, Gorges de Regalon was a spectacular walk and fun at the swimming pools were just the best! Thanks. — The O'Brien Family, 28 Jul 2011
Sun, swimming and relaxation! We had a great time - it really is a lovely house and the place was so quiet. My son adored the Duplo ... his best friend at school and his family were staying elsewhere on the domaine so they came round a few times and all the children from age 9 to 4 were well amused! Thanks again for all your efforts - we really realised how well you look after your guests when our friends moaned that they had no information in their house at all! Well done! It really helped. — The Macdonald Family, 15 Jul 2011
We stayed in Pont Royal for a week with our 5 year old son. Debby had gone to great efforts to ensure that each member of our family was made comfortable, from the welcoming touches to the Duplo and dvd's for the kids. We happily spent a few days away from Pont Royal visiting local towns and attractions but in the main we were more than happy popping to the local supermarket for our provisions or going to the bakers for the essential chocolate croissant in the morning!
Pont Royal is a great location in beautiful surroundings and days spent by the pool in the glorious sunshine is more than enough for us.
The village comes alive at the end of the day and there is a weekly market with some fantastic gifts, jewellery and clothing stalls. My husband particularly enjoyed a cold beer from the bar by the lake at the end of a hard day by the pool!
We will all remember our stay for very different reasons but mostly that the house is welcoming, well situated, spotlessly clean and has everything you could ask for. We hope to return to Pont Royal in the very near future.

"The standard of equipment and furnishings makes it feel like a second home and not just a rental property, from the comfortable garden furniture through to the well presented and homely interior. We found this proprerty by accident online last year and rebooked immediately on our return for 2010!. The smaller swimming pool adjacent to the property although shared feels very private. Or if you prefer there is plenty of room to sit or lay in the garden. Having stayed in the main complex previously, we found the location of this property very convenient for all the bars and restaurants but much quieter and more relaxed." — Liz, Nicky and the Girls, 01 Oct 2010
"12 hours door to door by road from Colchester - brilliant.
We stayed in house in early August with our 17 year old son; even he was kept entertained as it's suitable for all ages, couples and families. Lovely house and location with lots to do in Pont Royal but so much more to do and see nearby. What a wonderful part of the world so pretty. We were surprised how much Pont Royal has so much to offer. The house is modern but has so much charm and spotlessly clean with all mod cons it feels the owners have made it a home rather than a holiday let. We had the use of two pools, one just outside the front door so this felt more like your own private pool. Both pools were never crowded but not deserted. Everything is so well thought out and maintained although fairly new it has the charm and atmosphere of the area.
It's the first time my husband has ever expressed a desire to purchase a holiday home abroad!"
— Jules, Colchester, 20 Sep 2010
"Our family had a really enjoyable stay here in July 2010. The property is exactly as described on the website but what does not come across is that this is clearly a much loved family home and it was lovely to be able to share this. My teenage boys particularly appreciated the extensive DVD collection! The adjacent pools were never busy and there were plenty of available sunloungers. The gardens and grounds around the property are beautifully kept. Comprehensive information file was really useful. I would have no hesitation in reccommending the property to others." — Claire, 03 Sep 2010
"Thanks for a great holiday - beautiful place and area - will definitely be back!" — The Gallagher Family, 06 Jun 2010
"Thanks so much for the use of your lovely home. Unfortunately too little time to enjoy it given all the incredible sights to see in the region. You have chosen a beautiful Domaine for your second home." — Ian Towers, Canada, 10 Oct 2009
"Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans la location qui correspond entièrement aux photos publiées et au descriptif donné, l'entretien de la location était impeccable, la vue de l'arrière de la maison est belle et bien dégagée, elle se trouve à proximité immédiate des piscines, ce qui est pratique avec des enfants. L'environnement est très soigné et la décoration intérieure jolie." — Nadine Lemercier, 14 Sep 2009
"What a fabulous house - felt right at home as soon as we arrived! Beautiful location and views and the house offering all the comforts of home" — Katy, 31 Aug 2009
"Particularly in Pont Royal I enjoyed the wave pool and the lake and the swimming pool and the horses and "Le Ferme" and too many more things to name but the best was having such a lovely place to stay." — Hannah, 07 Apr 2009
"Wow - top house, top location, top pool - you don't need anything more" — Harry Hardy, 01 Sep 2008
